Material Resourcers is hiring Deconstruction and Reclamation Specialists in the Salt Lake City area!

Now hiring in the de - construction field. Experience with framing, roofing, carpentry, and remodeling is helpful! Hiring workers familiar with the construction industry to de - construct buildings in the Salt Lake City area!

Join a growing, innovative company making a difference in Utah's building industry. We need people with strong problem-solving skills, construction experience (or similar), and a dedicated attitude. Experience in framing, roofing, carpentry, remodeling, or similar is helpful. You will be an integral part of helping us provide building deconstruction & salvage work in the Salt Lake City, Park City and Northern Utah regions.

Deconstruction is the responsible, "green" method of building demolition. Structures are dismantled in reverse order salvaging upwards of 85% of materials. These materials are donated to a non-profit organization and distributed locally through building material reuse organizations (i.e. Habit for Humanity's Restore). This provides a tax deduction for the owner, lower disposal costs, and helps improve the standard of living for people in our community.

Work and responsibilities include careful removal/packaging/transport of salvaged items (doors, fixtures, cabinetry, flooring, lumber, etc.), typical demolition (remove drywall, insulation, debris), and general construction work (sawing, prying, bundling, logistics, material handling). Experience in residential and/or commercial construction is helpful. Must be competent with hand tools (screw drivers, pry bars, hammers, etc.) and power tools (drills, saws, grinders, etc.). Additional work may involve reclaiming, transporting, and manipulating materials from local companies. You would also be an advocate for deconstruction and material reclamation in Utah, helping to educate the public and generate leads.

This is listed as a FULL-TIME position. Working days will be full 8 hours (1/2 hour break) and projects will range from a couple days to several weeks with some down-time in between. Flexibility in scheduling is needed. Must have reliable transportation to reach jobsite or carpool locations. Having your own tools is NOT necessary, but you are welcome to use them. Bi-lingual applicants (Spanish-English) will be given special consideration.

Compensation is commensurate with experience, but should be in the $12-14 range. We need people dedicated to excellence, committed to safety, and hardworking. We are a team-focused company where everyone is invested in our purpose, innovative in their thinking, and involved in the process. We are not looking for "employees" or someone who just wants a job. We are creating a new paradigm in everything we do and need people who think similarly.

Minimum age of 18. Must be legally allowed to work in US. No felony convictions or aggravated charges in past 7 years. OSHA compliance and training helpful. Drug free workplace.
