OAK WHISKEY BARRELS FROM VARIOUS DISTILLERIES
Oak barrels are traditionally used to age wine or distilled spirits, carry grain & feed, transport foolish souls over huge waterfalls and provide rudimentary nudity-abatement while in the poor house. But getting your hands on one doesn't require a Niagara-sized leap, nor does it require going broke.
Our barrels were used by a various distilleries to age whiskey and other fine spirits. Freshly drained of their liquid intoxicants, these oak barrels make excellent landscaping pots, could complement your rustic-themed decor, or provide source wood for the perfect craft project. But, please, let the professionals ride the waterfalls, and, for the love of Pete, just wear regular clothes!

All of these barrels spent several years aging rye bourbon and whiskey. Some received a second calling as aging vessels for high-point, small-batch, craft beer. Drained of their heavenly “spirits”, now they’re available for a third-life. We like to think of it as “three-use”.
Some certainly are, although many of these barrels have been air-dried, and shrunk a bit, breaking the seam where the wood slats come together. Some barrels can be rehydrated to hold liquids. We cannot guarantee water-tightness and all barrels are sold “As Is”. Call us today to discuss your needs and our current inventory.
They weigh between 90 and 120 pounds depending on how long they’ve been drying. They are made of 1" thick white oak, charred on the inside and held together by steel bands on the outside. They are 35” tall, 26” in diameter at mid-point, and 21” diameter at the top and bottom. They have a 53-gallon internal capacity.
No. All liquids have been drained out. They do have a wonderful aroma however, which makes them a great addition to your man-cave, BBQ smoker, or perhaps an enticing potpourri… how lovely!
Most have a small, painted label on the top from various distilleries. For volume purchases, we cannot guarantee a particular “brand” or logo when you purchase.
Yes, we cut barrels and have many on hand regularly. We can also do length-wise cut half barrels, but 24-hours notice is needed to make these.
They have dozens of uses. Your creativity is the only limit! Here are some suggestions: planters or urban vegetable gardens, unique furniture (table, chairs, wine bottle holders, etc.), rainwater collection, bar top, liquor cabinet, use the slats to make home accessories, BBQ smoking wood/charcoal briquettes, cut longwise and make into a baby cradle, decorations for your “vintage” themed wedding, cut a hole in the top and turn into a dog kennel, wood flooring, or whatever your creativity can dream up.
